Born in Colombia and raised in Ecuador, international furniture and interior designer Adriana Hoyos’ aesthetic is rooted in Latin American style, but redefined for an American and international market. A pioneer of her unique style in interior design and her high-end furniture collections, along with a specialty designing luxury hotels and resorts, Hoyos has tackled the craft of furniture design and has demonstrated a remarkable talent to create timeless pieces that are warm and expressive. Her use of native and exotic materials from her homeland of Ecuador creates textured, unique designs that breathe life into living environments.
Her collections flow naturally and effortlessly, and work well in a New York loft, a luxury oceanfront condo in Miami, a beachfront home in the Caribbean or a resort in Latin America. Inspired by her culture and her extensive travel, Hoyos seamlessly weaves texture and color pallets from different cultures into her design, yet stays true to nature, simplicity and the classic style.
In addition to furniture design, Hoyos’ interior design talent can be found in residences and commercial projects throughout the world. Hoyos’ work has been showcased in Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Florida Design, Inside Out, Hola Decoracion and Vanidades, among others. She has been featured on CNN and is the recipient of several awards and recognitions, including Architectural Digest Latin America’s Editorial Award for Excellence in Design, International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) Most Memorable Exhibitor Award, Sony Picture Television’s Iniciativa Ser Campaign for Pink Chair Icon and recognition at World Market Las Vegas.
In 2014, Hoyos was appointed UNICEF´s Good Will Ambassador for Latin America.
