MAY 2018

Spring 2018

Take a look at the photo recap of our superb experience at this Spring’s High Point Market. We had many special visits and connections. Thank you to all our friends who joined us for the launch of our latest collection Rumba and met our New Introductions.

We launched our new Rumba collection during this Spring Market which was inspired by resort living and a modern tropical aesthetic. Upholstery fabric options include a rich blend of vibrant colors, textures and versatile patterns.
This collection presents sophisticated, timeless designs with a Latin-American flair. The inspiration draws from the musical characteristics of the Rumba genre, the marimbas, drums and the flow from women’s dresses while dancing to this rhythm. These are some of the cues you will see reflected on the assortment.”
These products are now available! Get yours at our MDD showroom or contact Adrian Trejo at

Our Rumba collection portrays various details and shapes which makes it remarkable. The curves in the structure of this collection emphasize the delicate and elegant movements of the rumba dancer and the flow of the dress to this exotic and captivating rhythm. The metal studs in upholstered pieces were inspired by the delicate and distinguished detail found in the jewelry that is worn by the Latin American indigenous culture.
Individual features in the upholstery evoke the shape and contours of the well known “totora boat’s” a symbol of the pre-Columbian South American civilization. Also, the roundness and soft curves depict the “tambor” which represents the roots and contemporary expressions of the rumba rhythm.

Three of our pieces were hand-picked by our designer friends, the Style Spotter team, who visited our showroom. Thank you to our spotters: Michel Boyd, Natalie Reddell and Stacy Garcia.
Their picks were:
* Rumba upholstered chair 100
* Rumba crescent sofa 100
* Chocolate sofa 300
